GILLIAN NUTTALL

London Marathon run in memory of Gillian Nuttall in aid of Help The Hospices

In July 2005 my girlfriend's mother past away after a long fight against cancer. She had experienced many highs and lows during her campaign battle but the cancer eventually took her life – she was 54 years old. The help and comfort received from the local hospice in Preston for both her mum and the rest of the family was remarkable. They are still continuing to give support as they grieve for their loss. Her brother, Roger, has decided to brave the London Marathon. All money raised will be donated to Help the Hospices.

Hospices in the UK only receive one third of their funding from the government. The remainder has to come from fundraising and donations. That’s where Help the Hospices step in. Help the Hospices support hospices throughout the UK.

All donations for this worthwhile cause are much appreciated. If you would like to make a donation please visit Roger's website directly at;

www.justgiving.com/rogernuttall

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor. Help the Hospices will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Roger completed the marathon in 4 hours 20 minutes.
